Simple, rockin’ and wholehearted describes today’s Contemporary Worship service at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. Our drummer Isaac Hall and bassist Curtis Anderson were tight and laying it down, it was a joy to rock with them. The rest of team was “on”, the congregation was engaged, and we really enjoyed worshiping God together.

Wow, there’s a bunch of good lessons learned from this weekend’s worship experience with Christ Community Church, McMinnville, TN. In fact I’ve got at least 2 ideas for posts beyond today’s recap. They’ll probably have titles like ….
There was a problem with the media computer so there was no way to project lyrics. Of course, today I had planned a bunch of “wordy” songs.

Wow, another Sunday of growing attendance at the start-up Contemporary Worship service at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, TN. It was our 12th service and very good day, praise the Lord.

Worship Team at HFUMC, Jan 8 2012
Today had to be the largest attendance so far at the new and growing Contemporary Worship service at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, TN.
God is doing something special here.
It was a really great service today at HFUMC. We opened with the video “A New Year” based on one of my favorite scriptures.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
Sunday Worship
It was the fourth week of Advent and the 9th service at the burgeoning new Contemporary Worship Service, Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, Hendersonville, TN.

Worship with Children
It was Children’s Christmas Sunday at Christ Community Church, McMinnville, TN.
It was a very simple and casual worship service. We arranged the seating “in the round”, I sat on a stool in the middle. and the children sat on quilts in the center. The atmosphere was like a big living room.
