September 25 Worship Recap

Beautiful weather, a joyful atmosphere, a rockin’ little band, and a great sermon on Colossians 3:22-25 were the highlights of today’s worship service at Christ Community Church / McMinnville TN.

This song, “As It Is In Heaven” written by Matt Maher is really strong. I love the words it puts on the lips of people, how it paraphrases The Lord’s Prayer, combines the psalmist intention to “sing a new song” and lifts our hearts with a powerful chorus that declares “let Your kingdom come, let Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven”. Strong lyrics, hooky melody, easy to play – just a great praise and worship song.

Here’s the setlist:

  1. Rob,

I totally agree with you about "As It Is in Heaven." That song resonates with our community of faith. This morning we did Matt's new song, "Turn Around" – we are in a series on the kingdom of God and framed the song with Jesus' words from Mark 1:15: "“The time has come; the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
