Well the Inspire Worship Conference was inspiring. There were great teaching and workshops. I was honored to lead two seminars and my wife Ivalene taught a Children’s Worship Workshop. We had a blast meeting great folks from all over.

Here’s a little video we made for the resource page …

We have a resource page  from our workshops with my slide decks, notes and outlines and other other resources. You can take a sneak peak at it here – Inspire Worship Conference Resource page.

VIDEO: Carl Cartee Interview (http://InspireWorshipConference.com)

I’m launching a new podcast called “The Worship Show” later this month. But this interview with Carl Cartee is so awesome, I had to release it immediately. So here’s a preview for ya!

Carl’s shares the three pillars that serve as the centerpiece of what God has called him to do.

  • Be the kind of leader people can and will trust.
  • Speak a language of, and have a transaction of blessing. Picture a special future for them.

Music Review: Gangai Victor “The New Song”

What an amazing time in history to be a follower of Jesus Christ, pursuing the Great Commission – to go into all the world and make disciples. Through the amazing technology of the world wide web, it’s never been easier for believers from all over the world to discover and build relationships with like minded people.

One connection I’ve been blessed to make recently is with Ganagi Victor, a worship leader, songwriter, blogger (Votive Praise) , and worship ministry trainer from Chennai, India.

Since my recent mission trip to Sri Lanka, I’ve been very interested in what God is doing in that part of the world. So I am delighted to introduce his first solo worship project “The New Song”

He is a thoughtful psalmist with a calm soothing sound. I was initially a little surprised it was in English with a western sound, but his anointing and heart are displayed in this pleasant personal worship soundtrack. Continue Reading…

Worship Team Workshop: Head, Heart, & Hands

Logo Worship Team Workshop

Do you desire a culture of worship for your church?

Then may I suggest, provide training and coaching resources for  your worship ministry. It could be one of the healthiest investments a church can make in their people.

Equip the saints for the work of the ministry. Ephesians 4:12

I have conducted seminars and workshops of various sizes and formats in the US and on the mission field for several years. I’d be delighted to serve any context where my training and methodology would be a good fit.

Video Interview with David Santistevan, Allison Park Worship “Undying Love”

I’m thrilled to share with you a great new worship CD by Allison Park Worship “Undying Love.”  They are led by uber worship blogger David Santistevan. David is  Creative Arts Pastor at Allison Park Church in Pittsburgh, PA.

This is their first project and it’s probably the most sophisticated debut church worship project I’ve ever heard. Take a blend of Mumford & Sons, Gungor, Hillsongs and Jesus Culture – mix in unique, creative arrangements with powerful lyrics and you’ve got “Undying Love”

Missions Benefit Concert Recap

Our first annual ever missions benefit concert was well attended

Our first annual ever missions benefit concert was a success!

Well Saturday night we held our first ever annual missions fund-raiser “An Evening To Benefit Wholehearted Worship Worldwide.”

A major purpose of the evening was to create a context where our far flung supporters and interested persons could assemble and connect.

It was a gathering of friends old and new. And a very special night.

Twelve, yes 12,  of my musico amigos served as special guest artists sharing the “entertainment” with moi. I loved sharing the stories – some humorous, some tender – about each of them.

Especially moving for me and Ivalene was the encouragement were received to continue serving the Lord on missions opportunities to under-resourced nations. I have many invitations for 2013 including Serbia, Romania, Africa, Asia  and Latin America. We also hope to raise enough that Ivy and I can serve together in eastern Europe at SOZO and Romania next year.

Here’s the program:

  • Rob Still

    • Welcome & vision “Here’s What We’re Doing and Why”
    • I Need You Every Hour

Leaving a Legacy: Through The Bible Radio & J. Vernon McGee

I found an old, long lost friend on-line. What an age we live in!

It’s Through The Bible Radio with Dr. J. Vernon McGee.

I used to listen to J. Vernon McGee’s radio broadcast back in Maryland when I was a young believer in the early 80′s.

I’m a country boy at heart. Dr. McGee’s Texas twang and common sense, folksy bible exposition hooked me to become a regular listener.

“Why Holiness Matters” Interview With Tyler Braun

I’ve been very blessed to connect with next generation thought leaders like Jeff Goins (Wrecked) and Tyler Braun (Why Holiness Matters) . These guys are a voice for the Millennial generation.

[Video] Tyler Braun Interview

I recorded this interview with Tyler Braun (author, blogger, & worship leader) shortly after my Rock-n-Worship Camp and before my Balkans missions trip,

Tyler’s  book  Why Holiness Matters is must reading not only for 20-somethings, but for worship folks too. His perspective  on “Holiness” is fresh and cuts straight to the heart. This is not the same old recycled dogma and regurgitated thinking of much religious ideology. I found his insights to be invigorating and inspiring.

In this session, Tyler and I talk about the following: Continue Reading…

How To Study Languages: A Cab Ride with David Durham

NOTE: This post is part of my on-going Mission Trip 2012 series.

While I was teaching at SOZO Festival, Novi Sad, Serbia,   on the team was language guru David Durham. He taught seminars on Cultural Intelligence.

VIDEO: In this cab ride, I pulled out my I-Phone and said lets talk about “Immersion”, one of the tips in his book.

The man seems to know every language there is.

That’s because he’s developed a mindset with a systematic method to quickly learn.

His e-book, How to Learn a Foreign Language: 7 Tips for Making the Daunting Doable  is 30 pages of strategy and practical tips. I read it again on this trip and was amazed at how Dave quickly became proficient at Serbian.

This book will help you learn a new language.

Join the adventure! :

Question: Have you desired to learn a language but needed help?
