Maybe the fastest week of my life, this year’s Level 1 courses jut seemed to fly by. Super busy, intense week for worship dude.
Scoala de Inchinare Level 1 students 2011 (I will get a better picture)
I’ve been taking pictures with my Kodak Zi8 Camcorder which is a decent camcorder with proper light, but not so good at taking a clear photograph. I’ll have to get proper photo’s from other folks to post.
There’s no internet right now at the school and they’re closing down this cafe right now, so I’m going to try and post this very hasty blog. It’s 11 pm here as I write this.
This year there are 33 Level One (first year) students from all over the country, mostly teenagers and young adults, ages 16 – 30. They represent the future of this nation.
The first students I met Sunday: Lorenzo, Diana, Irina, Nicolette, Rollie. Ages 15-19
Sunday I played with the worship team at Agape and then shared briefly in message and song.
This video has the core of my message on Wholehearted Worship: Putting the First Commandment in First Place. [Sorry the audio is out-of-sync, I'll try to fix it when I get a chance, the uploads are slow]
There is a big shopping mall across the street from Agape church, where the school of worship is being hosted. Saturday night we grabbed a bite to eat at the Food Court with staffers Carmen, Raul and a student named Claudio.
We had a great discussion of many things about God and faith. After we ate, Carmen says, “I gotta tell somebody about my Jesus!” She looks around the food court, sees a table full of people and starts talking to them. A girl accepted Christ right then and there! We were blown away. I had my camcorder and asked Carmen to tell the story:
Pretty cool, huh?
Personal Minutia
Well I arrived with all my luggage in tact and on-time, first time on 2 years! Too bad, cause I was prepared this time for my one checked bag not to show up. Oh well, I rejoice in our good fortune. It was little over 20 hours from the time we left home till I landed in Timisoara. The weather is mild and pleasant right now.
The internet access is dicey, but I’ll try to report as much as I can.
My 10th Consecutive Year of Missions Trips to Eastern Europe!
Summer missions changed my life. (Read that story here.)
Now, it is such an honor to teach about worship around the world. I’ve created a separate web page for RobStillMinistries.orgfor fund-raising and awareness. I’ll be blogging more about the incredible people and places we serve in upcoming posts.
We are raising our prayer team, as well the remaining funds. You can click this link to make a donation. Thank you!
The Summer 2011 Plan:
I’ll leave the US August 1st
We’ve got enough invitations to keep us busy the entire month of August! So here’s the plan. I’ll teach at the Scoala de Ichinara (School of Worship) in Timisoara the first two weeks of August.
We’ll fit in a conference in somewhere in Romania the first weekend in between school sessions, possibly Cluj.
The third week of August we’ll do a seminar, conference, night of worship in Baja, Hungary, former home of the Sozo Festival.
Then we’ll head over to Serbia (Novi Sad) for a worship, mentoring workshop.
Finally I’ll fly out to England and help with the new Sozo Festival at Red Hill.
Ivalene will fly over with the US team around August 22 and join us there.
We’ll both fly home together around August 31.
After that I need a long nap and someone to donate tickets to the US Open. That would be a dream come true. (I love tennis!)
This coffee is awesome! Just Love Coffee is an small batch, artisan roaster. Order from our storefront. Proceeds support our missions work and help orphans.
